Camping La Chevauchée

Camping La Chevauchée

We are Sylviane and Pascal and we would be delighted to welcome you to the estate that we have built and developed with love for almost 40 years.

The Ride:

At the end of the hamlet of Couperies Basses, this calm and relaxing place offers a breath of fresh air to those who wish to walk, cycle or ride horses or simply recharge their batteries and get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and its pollution.

Located at the crossroads of many hiking trails, a stone's throw from the Monts de Guéret, the Puy des 3 cornes and the La Creuse valley, our campsite is at the centre of our equestrian farm and its 45 horses, donkeys and ponies.

Here, there is space and accommodation to suit all tastes and budgets.

A camping area , accessible to tents, caravans and motorhomes. Arrangements have been made this year to prevent you from overloading your car:

  • A summer kitchen with hot water, sink, gas hob, cutlery and some kitchen equipment.
  • A covered shelter with picnic tables.
  • A corner for making a fire and a BBQ. There is always wood, coal and something to light.
  • An extension cord if you lack light

A converted caravan : LES CHAMPEAUX.

This large caravan has not been on the road for a long time, and you have to be very observant to see that it is a caravan, it is so camouflaged. It is in fact a small, well-equipped studio with a large terrace. You just have to walk a hundred meters to get to the toilets.

3 Bungalows: LES JUMATRES (one bedroom), LES CHAUMES and LES PATURAUX (2 bedrooms).

They are well equipped and each have a covered terrace where it is nice to have a bite to eat, even in the rain.

Our large capacity gîte: LES COUSSIERES

This is perhaps the most beautiful part of our house with, from a covered terrace upstairs, a breathtaking view of our facilities, in particular the pond and its ducks. If you are an early riser, you can surprise a heron that comes every morning for breakfast (our pond is full of small roaches). It will leave, unhappy to be disturbed and will let out its saucepan cry but in its majestic flight.

Rather suitable for the able-bodied because of its 3 levels and its staggered staircases, those who have occupied it find the decoration charming, the youthful colours and the layout of the volumes original. In fact, it is very popular.

In summary

There you have it, in all our accommodations, there is toilet paper, paper towels, tea towels, a bath mat, coffee, salt, pepper... So no need to clutter yourself up, when you arrive, you put down your luggage and that's it. If you forgot some bread, a liter of milk... we'll help you out.

Benches and tables around the pond to watch ducks and birds, a play area and then space for young and old to walk around, or even feed sheep, goats and chickens.

And of course, enjoy the presence of horses and ponies . Even if you are not riders, their presence is good. To get to know each other a little better, or even ride, see Sylviane who will be happy to share with you her long experience as a breeder and rider and who will choose the formula that suits you best.
